I have to admit, the holidays have caused me to loose track of some events during December and January.
But looking back at the results and the current ticker, which is now over 1,060 race miles for 2010 (which is only May-December) it was quite an accomplishment for this small group of runners!
There were many 'firsts' - such as first 5K, first 10K, Half- or Marathon. All notable accomplishments. Even more amazing is the stats that make up the races.
(Because I'm a statistical geek, I had to throw in a pie-chart!)
The races that this group participated in covered 10 STATES and
2 COUNTRIES
There were 75 different events. Among them, the most common race was (no surprise) the 5K distance
The marathon, half- and ultra-marathons covered about 27% of all races or 19 different events
INCREDIBLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS to everyone!!
Congrats to all who participated and to everyone who got out there to run!
Doesn't matter how fast or slow we are -- as long as we're out there!!
