#RunEveryDay...sure, no problem! Right?
Seems like a straightforward challenge, right?
SIMPLY, run 1 mile a day. Just 1. For the whole month of April.
After all, there's only 30 days in April (not 31)...
So my wife and I decided to embark on this challenge. It was a great way to shakeout the winter cobwebs, especially after longing to run outside and to be rid of the piles and piles of snow that still remained in our yard on April 1.
First couple days. Ok, getting in a groove. Then it hit...normal life with kids.
Kids had Performing Arts. 4 play performances. I had to travel for 3 days. Kids had an art show to attend at another school.
Now, fast forward 9 days in - and we're still hanging in there.....but wow it's more exhausting than we imagined!
But what has been more impressive are those friends and family members who are NOT runners and have decided to give this challenge a try. They are buying new shoes, learning how far they can push themselves and even progressing to a point of this challenge where they are doing more running and less walking, than they would have imagined.
It's these friends and family members, who have really, really stepped up and inspired me the last 9 days to get out there and Do It!
